Norfolk poultry meat/product import applications suspended

    The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) announced today (April 29) that it would stop processing applications for poultry meat/product imports from Norfolk, England with immediate effect.

     "The decision was taken following the confirmation of an outbreak of avian influenza H7N3 in a poultry farm in Norfolk," an FEHD spokesman said.

     "We will seek further information from the relevant authorities concerning the case," he said.
