More vehicular e-channels at Man Kam To control point
*****************************************************

Four vehicular e-channels have been activated at Man Kam To control point today (April 24). They are located at arrival kiosks 1 and 6 and departure kiosks 1 and 6. The channels are open to the public from 7am to 10pm daily.

Cross-boundary drivers who are Hong Kong permanent residents or Hong Kong residents holding Documents of Identity for Visa Purposes (DI) and have allowed the Immigration Department to make use of registration of persons particulars for self-service clearance, can use their smart identity cards to perform clearance at vehicular e-channels.

Drivers are reminded that if their thumbs are unclean, too dry or too moist, the fingerprint scanner's ability to read their thumbprints will be affected. They should make sure their thumbs are clean before entering the e-channel. In the case of too much dryness, a wet tissue should be used to dampen the thumb. If the thumb is too moist, it should be wiped with a dry tissue.
