The Town Planning Board today (March 3) announced amendments to the approved Aberdeen & Ap Lei Chau Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of an area in front of the main entrance of Ocean Park to "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Ocean Park" to facilitate the redevelopment of the Ocean Park; deletion of the possible alignment of the proposed Route 81 from the OZP; and the rezoning of two sites along the northern and northeastern waterfront of Ap Lei Chau to "Open Space" to form a continuous waterfront promenade.
Amendments have been made to revise the Notes of the OZP to incorporate 'Public Transport Terminus or Station' and 'Public Vehicle Park (excluding container vehicle)' uses under Column 1 of the Notes for the "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Ocean Park" zone to facilitate the proposed provision of public transport terminus and coach/car park within the extended Ocean Park.
Amendments have also been made to the Notes for "Industrial", "Residential (Group E)", and "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Business" zones to delete the provisions for application for 'Educational Institution', 'Place of Entertainment' and 'Religious Institution' uses on the ground floor of a building; and to delete 'Training Centre' use from the Notes for the "Industrial" zone, and Schedule II of the Notes for the 䩕Residential (Group E)蒅 and 䩕Other Specified Uses蒅 annotated 䩕Business蒅 zones.
The draft Aberdeen & Ap Lei Chau OZP No. S/H15/22, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during normal office hours until May 3, 2006 at the following locations :
* Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, 15th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road;
* Planning Enquiry Counter, 17th Floor, North Point Government Offices;
* Planning Enquiry Counter, 14th Floor, Sha Tin Government Offices, 1 Sheung Wo Che Road, Sha Tin;
* Hong Kong District Planning Office, 14th Floor, North Point Government Offices; and
* Southern District Office, Ground Floor, Ocean Court, 3 Aberdeen Praya Road, Aberdeen.
Any person can make representations in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before May 3, 2006. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be made available for public inspection.
