Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 23-year-old man was killed in Sha Tin this (January 22) morning.
At about 7.25 am, a motorcycle travelling on the fast lane of Shatin-bound Shing Mun Tunnel reportedly lost control and rammed the kerb on its right. It then bounced back to the fast lane before it came to a halt.
After the impact, the 23-year-old male driver fell on the ground. Sustaining serious head injuries, he was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where he was certified dead at 8.03 am.
The case will be handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South for enquiries.
